Alligator Farm Report

Word from the gator farm is that the Great Egrets are getting down to business building nests. The other birds will be right behind them. This Saturday the season photo pass will begin to allow early admittance to the park. If you plan on several visits this is a great way to save some money.

After being away from St. Johns County for two years now (after 35 years living there), the only things I really miss are the birds and the woods/beach walks observing them! (Don't tell my human friends! - I lie to them and tell them I miss 'em.)

Your photographs are great reminders.

Not that there isn't a lot of great bird sightings here, which I enjoy daily - but not those great egrets (I used to have one visit my Coquina Lakes condo, walk in, and eat out of my hand!) and other wonderful white birds.

I suppose I'll stay here, and try to stay ahead of progress, and the bulldozers, with my cameras.
Just imagine having a digital camera 50 years ago, and the pictures you could have taken then.
You don't need a fancy camera, Chuck, just the basics, take some pics while you're out there!
I'm pleased you enjoy my efforts, all I do these days is take pictures and aggravate folks, both of which need doing!
